Sadly, the A&P stores are long gone from my area. They lost out to the big super-stores -- one-stop places where you can get your week's groceries, a prepared meal to go, visit the pharmacist, purchase both gardening supplies and furniture, gifts and even clothes at some. The newer super-stores even have sit-down restaurants.

I prefer getting my groceries at a grocery store.
